ART PAPER PARIS: ANATOMY OF A CITY
Through Art Paper Paris, Astraelux reimagines the French capital as a delicate and colourful world of paper. Monuments, clichés, and symbols take centre stage in a cardboard theatre where Parisian charm meets its own absurdity. Beneath the fragility of the paper lies a playful and slightly ironic gaze upon the City of Light.
Every creation thrives on contrast: poetry and provocation, softness and sting, naivety and sharp insight. Polished and almost candid aesthetics highlight a subtle, sometimes dark, but always intelligent humour. Paper serves as a stage where Paris tells its own story with lightheartedness, yet remains keenly aware of the sharper edges of reality..
Within this miniature Paris, a cockerel struts, a car goes up in flames in the 16th arrondissement, a garden gnome dreams on Rue des Thermopyles, and the Arc de Triomphe rises proudly amidst the chaos. Art Paper Paris transcends a simple series of objects; it is a visual comedy, a knowing nod to the beauty and contradictions of an eternally inspiring city.
